Times Change

So I had a job interview in my old college town of Ann Arbor this morning and driving around, I noticed that there were no drunk people rambling around and only 1 bar looked even remotely open. At 9am on St. Patrick's Day! What the hell?

What is wrong with kids these days? Where is the carousing? Where is the boozing? Where is the puking in the street because you had Lucky Charms and tequila for breakfast at 7am???? (Not that I ever did that. It was actually on the side of this guy's car. Because I am classy.)

Seriously. It was kind of depressing.

  2. I made the mistake of going to the mall this afternoon. It's raining and it's spring break for Dallas schools so the mall was packed with teenagers. I just kept wondering why these kids weren't spending their day the way we did -- getting sick off cheap wine and clove cigarettes. Or Lucky Charms and tequila. THAT's the way you spend a rainy spring break!

Really. I just don't know what's happening to this country.

  3. Julie - Thanks! I think it went pretty well. Next time I'm in town, I'll let you know!

Irene - I swear, it's like kids these days have no ambition or chutzpa. I fear for our nation.
