Casual Friday

I hate Casual Friday.

I know I'm probably alone in this, but I don't care. The rest of you are wrong and I am right.

People cannot be trusted to understand what they are supposed to wear. Sure, it seems very Big Brother-y to have to follow an HR dress code, but it wouldn't exist if people didn't think it was ok to wear leggings to work. IT IS NEVER OK TO WEAR LEGGINGS TO WORK.

Seriously. Stop kidding yourself.

  1. There will always be people who think "but I'm the special one."

    *that would be me* LEGGINGS!

  2. Unless you are being covered by a HUGE/LONG sweater leggings are just not appropriate. Ever.

  3. Agreed, for adults, but but I think they're cute on kids. Can't decide at what age they cross the line, though...

  4. I have a VERY lenient dress code at work -- seriously, I'm pretty sure I could get away with a ratty tshirt, short shorts, and flip-flops at work.

But, I just can't do it . . . I need some semblance of "professional" (even if I'm working from home), otherwise I don't actually work (though there may be a time or two that I sat, pantsless, at home, while "working from home". Those have not been my most productive days)
