A Sad, Sad Day

Bill Walsh died today.

I remember the first time I took an interest in football. It was the 1982 Superbowl and we were at my dad's cousin's house for the day. We kids were in the room with the t.v., which had to be tuned in to the game, and out of sheer boredom, I watched.

I was surprised how interested I was in the game. I love the West Coast Offense Walsh pioneered, and have little patience for anything else.

Once he left the 49ers, I had little interest in football. He made the game interesting.
