What's that there?

It's been a while, I know.

Let's just jump right in, shall we?

I had a mammogram last week, my very first one, and they found a lump. I had three phone calls from my doctor/my ob-gyn/the mammogram place. That was a fun day at work. They kept saying, "It's probably nothing, but since this is the first one, they want to make sure. And it may be something."

Yipes.

So, I went back, and it was nothing. Thank god. But that was a really long 2 days of waiting until that next appointment.

The weird/sad thing is, I kept telling myself, it's probably nothing, but you should think about what you are doing in your life. And for the most part, it's o.k. I'm doing fun things. But I found I really have shut myself off from everyone.

So this is my small step back. Talking to the world so that I can feel comfortable talking to the people in my life.

Gah, I'm a fuck up.

  1. Wow... I'm so glad it turned out to be nothing! Those two days must have been horrible. I'm overdue for my (first) mammogram. Think I'll go do that this week.

    Glad you're back blogging!

  2. She lives! And, uh, she still lives!

Welcome to the wonderful world of annual boob smashing. This last time the smashing machine bruised the heck out of me. Gah.

    Glad you're back. How's school?

Julie, definitely go! It's not too horrible.

KathyR - I hate school. HATE IT. Love my job. Hate going to class. Beyond tedious.
