Shopping Story

I do almost all my shopping at Target. All my pharmacy, drugstore, cleaning product needs are generally met by hitting one super fantastic store. [Although I have absolutely no idea why the one near me finds it inadvisable to stock the Spray and Wash gel scrubby thing, meaning I have to stock up on that stuff when I hit one of the other several Targets within a 5-10 mile radius from my home.]

Anyway, since I do pretty much all of that kind of shopping at Target, years will pass before I set foot in a drugstore. I just don't got. I don't like shopping when I have no money, and I don't like the whole savings club card thing that most drugstores have going.

Today the girl and I ran into a Rite Aid. I needed more Ricola, and didn't want to run into Target, so we zipped into Rite Aid. Once I'd driven past it because I wasn't aware that there actually was a Rite Aid located on that street. That I've driven on near daily for the past 10 years.

Anyway, we went into Rite Aid for Ricola and ended up spending almost $10 on junk. Chips and mints and who knows what else. Because I was in a bit of a stupor and it was all so new.

They sure have a lot of hard candies in drugstores. Is that a comment on the demographic? I think so, because we were the youngest people there by many, many years.

  1. I think it is great that my nearest Rite Aid provides so many employment opportunities to the mentally deficient.
